excellent facilities for underwater fishing and spectacular diving. Accomodation
is generally simple although on some very famous areas there are excellent

CLASSICAL TOUR

Palermo on Saturdays
The easiest way to see all the extraordinary beauties of
Sicily is to make a complete tour discovering its history, architecture,
archaeology, traditions and culture.
A well preserved nature, a wide citrus cultivation, viticulture, splendid

1st day - Saturday - Palermo
Arrival in Palermo and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in hotel. Meeting
with our escort. Dinner and overnight.
2nd day - Sunday - Palermo / Taormina area
After breakfast, departure to Taormina. Along the road stop at Cefalù and Santo
Stefano di Camastra, well known centre for its ceramics, and Messina. Lunch in
restaurant. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
3rd day - Monday - Taormina area
After breakfast departure to the Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in
Europe. The coach will reach 1.800 m. to see the craters of the Silvestri
mountains. Optional excursion (on payment) until 2.900 m. with the assistance of
the alpine guides. Lunch in hotel. In the afternoon visit to Taormina and the
Greek Theatre. Return to the hotel ; dinner and overnight.
4th day - Tuesday - Taormina area
After breakfast, departure to Syracuse, one of the biggest archaeological sites
of Magna Grecia, to visit the Greek Theatre, the Roman Amphitheatre, the Latomie
and the Ear of Dyonisos. Proceed to Ortigia and visit to the Cathedral and the
Aretusa Fountain. Lunch in restaurant. Return to the hotel ; dinner and
overnight.
5th day - Wednesday - Taormina area / Selinunte
After breakfast, departure to Piazza Armerina to visit the well known Villa
Romana of Casale and its precious mosaics. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon,
proceed to Agrigento to visit the wonderful Valley of the Temples. Continuation
to Selinunte. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
6th day - Thursday - Selinunte / Palermo
After breakfast, visit to the archaeological park of Selinunte. Stop at the
"Museum of Wine" and tasting of local products. After lunch (in
hotel), continuation to the Doric Temple of Segesta. Proceed to Palermo. Dinner
and overnight in hotel.
7th day - Friday - Palermo
Full board in hotel. In the morning, panoramic tour of the town including :
Piazza Politeama, Piazza Massimo, Piazza Pretoria, Foro Italico, Piazza Marina,
Corso Vittorio Emanuele visiting to the main monuments : the Cathedral, the
splendid Chapel Palatina inside the Norman Royal Palace. Continuation to
Monreale to visit the Cathedral and its Benedictine Cloister. Afternoon at
leisure or optional excursion (on payment) to the Martorana Church, the Vucciria
market and the Zisa Castle.
8th day - Saturday - Palermo
Half board in hotel. Possibility to continue your Sicilian holiday in one of our
resorts or transfer to Palermo airport for departure.

other ones.
