MötZiflon

The Colline Novaresi are the gentle rolling hills north of Novara in Alto Piemonte where Nebbiolo has been grown for centuries. MötZiflon is the dialect name of the hill on whose slopes grow the grapes that made this wine. In the dialect of the commune of Suno "Möt" means hill and "Ziflon" means singing birds, hence, MötZiflon - hill of birdsong. Made from Nebbiolo grapes (85%), Vespolina (10%) and Uva Rara (5%), this wine has been aged in traditional oak barrels for twenty months. Serve MötZiflon at 65°F and uncork the bottle a half before serving.
