Maia Beltrame has always been fond of nature and in particular of mountains, where she has spent long periods of her life painting, studying the behaviour of wild animals and following researches in the field as a journalist. She has also been working for Greenpeace and WWF International.

In 1989 she bought this Walser house, abandoned for more than forty years, and she started the never ending restoration…
At present Maia lives between Peccia and Milan where she continues working as a journalist and photostylist for books and magazines. She is also a "green decorator" for parties and terraced gardens. Her constant aim is to create a natural and pleasant environment for the human being.
