Centro Walser
who we are house valley offering how to book
It has always been true, since ancient times, that to recover one's energy one needs a special place!

The house was built in larch wood in 1673 and is the largest house at Peccia, located under the little church of ST. Grato, protector of nature, five minutes walk from the parking area. The mountain road, three kilometers long, is open only for residents with a special permit. You can be picked up at S. Antonio where the asphalt road ends. Until last year no electricity was available here but perhaps, from next summer, electric light will be introduced although the house will continue to be partly lit by candles like in the past.

In this four floor building you will find room to study, to read or to be by yourself. In line with the typical architecture of the house, all around there is a sort of balcony with "pertiche" a special rack used in the past for drying hay, rye, barley and hemp.
On the ground floor, instead of the originary stable, we have a carpentry workroom and a hand loom.
The huge hayloft has been turned into a yoga and meditation room with five extra beds and a bathroom with hydromassage shower. The two main floors offer five double bedrooms with a comfortable bathroom each floor, two living rooms and one dining room all with stoves and a kitchen. Hot water is available all day long. By prior arrangement it is possible to bring your own dog or other pet animal.
