Altre fiabe:

Quickly Bardo saddled his horse Manulele and flew in the direction of the land where the turbo-turnip grew. The indications of Wizard Mirimao brought him through luxuriant marshes and feasting cemeteries. In 19 days he arrived.

The turbo-turnips grew in mid air plentiful. Bardo grabbed two of them. One he placed in his bag, the other he gave to his horse. Manulele's eyes glowed with pleasure after the first byte. Bardo tied the remaining piece with a sting to a stick and placed the stick above Manulele's head so that the turbo-turnip hanged always in front of the horse, but out of reach.

The horse began chasing feverishly the turbo-turnip covering the way back in one day and one night.

The day of the competition arrived and all the noblemen made their way to the royal palace.

Duke Ghepardone recognised the turbo-turnip in the Count Bavastro's dish on the jury's table. He had read of it in the ancient book "This and the Other World's Best Mouthful, by Lara and Lucy" in his library. There it was highly praised. "The special vegetable would give the victory surely to Count Bavastro!" Duke Ghepardone thought.

At night the Duke sneaked in the pantry, nicked the turbo-turnip and hid in his horse's saddle.

The next morning, Bardo was about to feed his horse when he noticed Manulele pointing intensely to the box next to his in the stable. Bardo had never seen him in such a state: "Only the turbo-turnip can cause him such a reaction!" he thought. He looked around and indeed found the turbo-turnip. He exchanged it with another turnip in which he had dug a little hole and filled with bitter-berry juice.

Count Bavastro's turbo-turnip enchanted the jury and above all the king himself, who named the Count, Cook of the Century.

The Count remembered his promise and called Wizard Mirimao to his palace to collect his well earned reward. Soon the lemon tree was made into a beautiful library.

Who ever wants may admire it, you knows where to find it!

Great celebrations followed based on wild boar dishes with grated turbo-turnip and all lived happily ever since.
