Node Input and Output Examples

In the following examples, note the different inputs and outputs of the nodes.

In the first example, a Footage operator is the input for a simple Brightness/Contrast operator. The Brightness/Contrast operator only requires a main input.

In the second example, one Footage operator is the main input and another is the secondary input for a Displace operator. The Displace operator requires a main input (the image being displaced) and a secondary input (the image used as the source map for the displacement).

In the Displace Controls panel, you can see the secondary input is the Layer control. (For most operators, the main input cannot be selected on the controls panel.)
