Rotating Objects
You can rotate objects around their pivot point. You can move the pivot point and create off-centered rotations.
To rotate an object:
- Select the object.
- Move the cursor to the rotation handle.
The cursor changes to a curved arrow.
- Click and drag the rotation handle on the bounding box.
Note: You can also type an exact rotation angle in the Rotation field of the Transform controls.
- Click the R button above the Rotation field to reset changes made to the object's rotation.
To move an object's pivot point:
- Select the object.
- In the tool options, click the Pivot Point option .
A pivot point appears on the object.
- Click and drag the pivot point to a new location.
Note: You can nudge the position of a pivot point by using the arrow keys on the keyboard. Click the R button above the Pivot fields to reset changes made to the object's pivot point.
- To rotate the object, click the Arrow tool on the Toolbar, click the Object option , and then drag the bounding box rotation handle.
The object rotates around its new pivot point.
Note: You can also change the position of an object with respect to its pivot point using the X and Y Pivot fields in the Transform controls.
