Editing Text Properties
As with any other object, you can move, rotate, scale, and shear text objects using the Transform controls, or the viewport. You can also change the position of the text object's pivot point and edit the shape of a text character.
An object rotates around its pivot point. So, by moving the pivot point, you change the way an object rotates.
To edit a text object:Click the text object in the Workspace panel, Timeline list or viewport.
To edit an individual text character, do one of the following:
- Deselect the Text object and Ctrl-click (Windows) or Command-click (Macintosh) the character in the viewport.
- In the Workspace panel (F3), expand the text object and select the character.
- In the Timeline (F4) list, expand the text object, and then expand the Letters category. Next, select the character you want to edit.
To edit multiple characters in a text object:
- Deselect the Text object, press Ctrl+Shift (Windows) or Command+Shift (Macintosh), and click each character in the viewport.
- In the Workspace panel (F3) or Timeline list, expand the text object, press Shift or Ctrl, and select the characters.
- In the Workspace panel (F3) or Timeline list, deselect any selected objects, then Ctrl-drag (Windows) or Command-drag (Macintosh) a selection box around the characters you want to select.
