Moving Text
You can move characters, lines of text, or text blocks.
To move a text block:
- On the Toolbar, click the Arrow tool .
- Click anywhere on the text.
The entire text block is selected.
- To move a single text character, deselect the text object, and then Ctrl-click (Windows) or Command-click (Macintosh) the character.
- Click and drag the text to the new location.
To move individual characters using the Arrow keys:
- Select the Text object.
- In the Toolbar (F3), click the Text tool .
The text box appears in the viewport.
- Use the Left Arrow and Right Arrow to move the cursor between the text characters.
- When the cursor is at the front (left) of the character you want to move, press Ctrl and:
- Press the Left Arrow to move the character to the left (one pixel at a time).
- Press the Right Arrow to move the character to the right.
- Press the Up Arrow to move the character up.
- Press the Down Arrow to move the character down.
