Moving Text

You can move characters, lines of text, or text blocks.

To move a text block:

1. On the Toolbar, click the Arrow tool .
2. Click anywhere on the text.

The entire text block is selected.

3. To move a single text character, deselect the text object, and then Ctrl-click (Windows) or Command-click (Macintosh) the character.
4. Click and drag the text to the new location.

To move individual characters using the Arrow keys:

1. Select the Text object.
2. In the Toolbar (F3), click the Text tool .

The text box appears in the viewport.

3. Use the Left Arrow and Right Arrow to move the cursor between the text characters.
4. When the cursor is at the front (left) of the character you want to move, press Ctrl and:
• Press the Left Arrow to move the character to the left (one pixel at a time).
• Press the Right Arrow to move the character to the right.
5. Press the Up Arrow to move the character up.
6. Press the Down Arrow to move the character down.
