Targeting the Camera

You can target the camera to an object or a layer to make the camera point at that object no matter where it is in 3D space. Once you set a target, the camera rotates to always point at the target even if the camera or target moves. This can be very useful for creating walkthroughs and other animations.

To target the camera:
  1. Select the camera.
  2. In the Composite Controls panel, select the object that you want to set as the target from the Target list, or click the Pick button and select the object in a viewport.
  3. The camera is targeted to the selected object. When you move the target, the camera rotates to point at it.

You can also use a null object as the camera target. Null objects are not rendered in the final composite. For more information, see Targeting to a Null Object.
