Z Depth Transforms
Use Z Depth transforms to make flat video layers appear to move within the 3D space of a rich pixel image.
Note: This feature requires that you render the Z (Z Depth) channel as part of the RPF or RLA file in 3ds max.
To move layers in Z Depth:
- In the Workspace panel, click the rendered layer to select it and display the Composite controls.
- Click Layer.
- In the Layer controls, enable 3D Depth.
Note: When 3D Depth is enabled, you cannot rotate the rich pixel layer in X or Y.
- Use the Z Offset field to adjust the offset between the Z scale in the RPF or RLA file and the Z scale in combustion.
- Use the Z Scale field to adjust RPF or RLA files where the Z range is very large.
When you move or rotate any layers in the composite, they appear to move within the 3D scene.
