HOW TO ARRIVE IN SARDINIA BY SHIP & FERRY

Due to the cost reasons and the possibility to transport  your own car, the journey by ferry is a good alternative to the airplane.  In this way you can avoid to rent a car and use your own during the vacation. The ferry connections exist throughout the year, although they are more frequent during the summer season. Some companies have also new high-speed ferries, which allow to reach the island in about 5 or 6 hours.

Sardinia is connected with all many Italian and French ports. The main ports in Sardinia are: Cagliari, Porto Torres, Olbia, Golfo d'Aranci (Olbia), Arbatax.

News 2011:  From  18 May 2011 you can book the new connections between Sardinia and mainland managed by Saremar (the Sardinia's Regional Company) at competitive rates!
