Linea 1
Station in use. Underground level station. More exits opened in 2002: Via D'Antona, Via Semmola, Pascale Hospital, Via Domenico Fontana.
A 120-metres long tunnel with 10 escalators and 4 tapis roulants leads to platform level, set at 40 metres under road level.


May 30, 2002: Il Mattino describes (in Italian) the new arrangement of station Rione Alto (Linea1).

July 13, 2002: differently from previously announced, the President of the Camera dei Deputati Pier Ferdinando Casini will not be able to participate in opening of second station exit (see press release - in Italian - from Il Mattino).

July 13-15, 2002: disagreements on art works placed in station (see press release 1 and press release 2 - in Italian - from Il Mattino, and press release 3 - in Italian - from La Repubblica).

July 18, 2002: La Repubblica describes the new areas of station (see press release - in Italian).

July 20, 2002: with the presence of the President of the Camera dei Deputati Pier Ferdinando Casini the second exit will be made available at Rione Alto station (Linea1) (see press release - in Italian - from Il Mattino) (date postponed from July 25 due to Mr Casini's duties).

December 14, 2002: the second exit is open at Rione Alto station (Linea1) (see press release - in Italian - from Il Mattino).
