The area sorrounding Sorso is rich in prehistoric ancientry such as the 'domus de janas'
in Abbiu, nuragic remains and a megalithic enclousure to
the Nord East of the village. Numerous traces from roman times
in Lu Pidocciu, Petrugnanu, Tres Montes, Santa Filidiga. The church of Noli me Tollere, just outside the village dates back to the middle
ages. the pond of Platamona and the Sorso
beach are of naturalistic interest.
