  News In Brief

"Lezioni di Volo" (lessons in Flying) draws in the younger generation in Bolzano

BOLZANO -  Another “well done” for the Bolzano theater management.  When they engaged Corrado D’Elia  to direct a new theater piece aimed at facing the social problems of the younger generation today in Bolzano.  What could have turned out to be a heavy sermon of the  moral dangers facing today’s college graduates and drop-outs, in the hands of D’Elia, working with the cream of Italys younger actors, including Eric Alexander and Giovanna  Rossi,  gave a tense, fast moving spectacle with which the the younger Bolzano audiences  immediately related to.  The stage presence of the two young actors and the choral choreography on which D’Elia  spun out the story kept the audience on the edge of their seats right up until the final suicidal dive of the protagonist “unable to face the indignity” that fate thrusts upon him.

Congratulations to the theater management. We’re looking forward to seeing more of these vital pieces which are keeping the Bolzano theater scene “Very much alive”.

"Why Caged birds Sing" chosen for Odense Film Festival

Short Films which respect the imagination of that great Danish story teller – Hans Christian Andersen. There couldn’t have been a better occasion for  “Why Caged birds sing” – produced and directed by Eric Alexander. Programmed for screening on the 15, 17 and 19 August, the film portrays the healing powers of simple human contact. Isolated outsiders wasting their time and souls in the August heat of Central Park ,  where suffering meets innocence and time again becomes precious.

Well done Eric ! It’s going to be a great festival

Eric signs up with MTV

MILAN - MTV is moving fast. The catchy chat atmosphere and abundance of video clips of the world's top recording artists makes it the top channel today for music fans that "listen" to TV. The set is turned on for most of the day, just like the old radio used to be, then, if you have time, and you hear your favourite artist, you can even watch his clip.

And while you're listening, from now through August, you'll be hearing Eric (unfortunately, for us fans, not seen) giving us the news on what's coming up and introducing the new programs.

Message to MTV. We'd like to see him too !
