The Author:

Giovanni Panza was born in Bari on 03-06-1916. He graduated in law at the University of Bari. He participated to the World War II as lieutenant of artillery, being wounded in war actions. In 1948 he founded and directed the weekly newspaper of satire and sport "L'Arciere". The Central Institute of Statistics of Rome committed him a survey on "The agricultural net product of the Province of Bari" for the years 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, surveys edited by the Chambers of Commerce of the Province of Bari in 1955 and 1962. Between 1967 and 1980 he directed the Provincial Inspectorate of Alimentation of Bari, of the Agriculture Department. Between 1977 and 1980, as Director of Alimentation, he was charged with the coordination of services of the Alimentation of the Region Puglia.
