Erice

We drove the autostrada ( free of charge!!) from Palermo to Erice. Erice is on the top of a mountain. The old city is very tiny and the small snail streets were like a labyrinth. We continued to walk to Castello Normanno. We enjoyed the Great Panorama view from this castle, entrance was free, but we left a donation.

Trapani

Guide book says that "you can feel the wind from Africa", because this town is the nearest to Africa from Italy. We didn't notice the wind at all, but the view of the windmill and salt flat were something.

Marsala - this town is very famous a the name of a wine. the wine is a bit sweeter than others. But we just only passed by for quick lunch so we did't see so much in this town. Guide book says that " you can feel the African atmosphere as well as Trapani", but we didnt think so.

Selinunte

Before we visited there, we were thinking that the ruin in Selinunte was just small, the same size as Agrigento. But it was not true. Selinunte was something else, the contrast of the sea blue, green of the land, flowers and the old temple matched perfectly. Even after we saw Agrigento, we still liked this temple more than that.

We left Selinunte, then continued to drive to Agrigento. The Autostrada (Italian Freeway ) was very wide (and still free of charge), and no traffic. We really enjoyed our driving.
We arrived at Agrigento around 8:00pm. We could see the lighting up of the temple on the hill of Agrigento.
